Terms and Conditions of Tuition

1. Booking & Scheduling

Availability: I operate an open-access calendar. All bookings are managed on a first-come, first-served basis. If a time slot is visible on the booking system, it is available for immediate reservation and payment.

Consistency: To ensure steady progress, students are encouraged to maintain a rolling 4-week schedule. The diary opens four weeks in advance; the most effective way to secure your preferred time is to book a block of four lessons and add a subsequent lesson each week. If you are flexible, you can of course book weekly, and take any gaps available, but you run the risk of those slots becoming booked up.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Learner Cancellations: A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

Cancellations made with more than 48 hours' notice will result in a lesson credit or refund if requested.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the lesson start time (for any reason) will result in the forfeiture of the full lesson fee.

Instructor Cancellations: I reserve the right to reschedule lessons due to driving test priorities, vehicle maintenance, or unforeseen circumstances. In the event I must cancel, the 48-hour rule does not apply, and a full credit or refund will be issued.

3. Driving Tests & Vehicle Use

Test Priority: Practical driving tests take precedence over regular lessons. Learners may be asked to move their scheduled lesson to accommodate another student’s test booking.

Test Readiness Assessment: Use of the instructor’s vehicle for a practical test is strictly at my discretion. New students booking specifically for a test must undergo a mandatory Initial Assessment.

Standard of Safety: Only learners who demonstrate independent driving competence and have completed the required syllabus will be permitted to use the tuition vehicle for a test. I reserve the right to withdraw the use of the vehicle at any time if a learner is deemed unready or unsafe.

4. Unforeseen Circumstances & Liability

Mechanical Failure: As tuition involves a mechanical vehicle, I cannot be held liable for sudden breakdowns, punctures, or incidents that result in a last-minute cancellation.

Test Liability: While I strive to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy at all times, I am not responsible for any costs or losses incurred if a mechanical fault prevents a test from proceeding. Learners are encouraged to have a secondary plan for their test day.

5. Agreement

By commencing your first lesson, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions in full.
